A feeling of pure magic filled the air as Helena and P. J. exchanged vows in the verdant Tipperary countryside. The celebration unfolded at Raheen House, where the historic estate bloomed with a romantic fairytale atmosphere, enhanced by lush greenery and a cascade of colourful flowers. A sweet retro hunt motif threaded through the décor, adding a playful twist to the timeless setting.

The visual direction was deliberately fun, colourful and disruptive, with abundant blossoms spilling over tables and arches, and the retro hunt element appearing in subtle details like vintage signage and patterned linens. Fashion emerged as a standout feature: Helena wore an ethereal gown adorned with floral appliqué that seemed to float as she moved, while her bridesmaids appeared in soft pastel shades that complemented the palette. The groom’s party matched the vibe with sharply tailored ensembles that added a modern, stylish edge to the day.

The ceremony took place within the walled garden of Raheen House, a space the couple described as deeply personal and reflective of their shared journey. Helena hails from Kilkenny and P. J. from Dublin; the couple now reside in Churchtown, Dublin, having met over a decade ago while studying at Trinity College. They recall that P. J. was pursuing French and Film Studies while Helena focused on French and English Literature, and that a series of missed introductions eventually led to their lasting partnership. Their proposal unfolded on the peaceful Sheep’s Head Peninsula in County Cork, where a thoughtful hike culminated at a 3,000-year-old marriage stone linked to Helena’s grandmother’s homeplace, underscoring the sentimental roots of their union.
