A romantic and relaxed dream come to life, Mary and Iain celebrated their union at the magical Ballyvolane House in Co. Cork. Set against the backdrop of a sun-kissed summer day, the wedding was a beautiful blend of natural serenity and sophisticated charm, creating an atmosphere that felt both intimate and timeless.
The couple managed a focused planning period, bringing their vision of a rustic, summer country garden wedding to fruition in just six months. Despite the tight timeline, the celebration was brimming with divine details, reflecting a curated aesthetic that harmonized perfectly with the lush, green landscapes of the Irish countryside.
This Irish-Scottish celebration was thoughtfully structured to make the most of the venue’s diverse settings. The day began with a breathtaking ceremony nestled within the woods, followed by a refreshing drinks reception on the glorious grounds. The festivities then transitioned into a refined and elegant reception inside the country house, with every joyful moment captured through the lens of Syona Photography.
The couple’s journey to the altar began in 2014 after meeting on Tinder, eventually leading to a romantic proposal in Paris overlooking the Eiffel Tower. Their wedding day was further sweetened by the presence of boho-style flower girls in lace and tulle, and a heartwarming expansion of their guest list. Originally limited to 25 people, a change in COVID-19 restrictions just weeks before the event allowed them to invite 50 guests, turning the wedding into a long-awaited reunion for their closest friends and family.
